Elena Ugas P.A was founded in 2012 by Speech Language Pathologist Elena Ugas M.S.,CCC-SLP.
It is a company owned and managed by her.
Elena graduated Suma Cum-Laude from Florida International University with a
bachelor degree in Psychology in 2006, right away she commenced her
Communication Sciences and Disorders Master Program at FIU, graduating in 2009.
While in college, Elena was an ABA therapist from 2005-2008, soon after,
she became a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant at Childrens Center for
Development and Behavior, where she also directed social skills groups on weekends.
After her Clinical Fellowship at both Childrens Center and Felice Abby and Associates,
she decided to open her own company, Elena Ugas P.A. Between 2012 and 2013, EUPA dedicated
her efforts in serving families of children who needed speech and language services at home.
In 2013, Elena Ugas joined Jused Melian to form Developmental Therapies and Beyond. DTB was created as an umbrella company to offer ABA, OT, Speech, Social Skills groups, and Tutoring. In June of 2020, Elena Ugas P.A. moved to Pembroke Pines, FL and dedicates itself to service now children and adults with speech and language delays and disorders; we also offer tutoring, social skills groups, vocational training, and telehealth services in office, at home, group homes or school settings. It is our mission to promote effective and functional communication for all our clients and we pride ourselves on offering high quality therapy that is adapted to each family needs. Our team of speech pathologists and speech pathologist assistants are trained in behavior management to maximize treatment effectiveness and provide our clients families with a safe and relaxed environment conducive for learning. Our goal is to teach our clients the skills needed to live fulfilling lives and communicate to the best of their abilities.
Speech and Language Assessments and diagnosis, Speech Therapy, Language Therapy, Tutoring, Social Skills Groups and Vocational Training.
Insurances accepted: Straight Medicaid, MedWaiver, Childrens Medical Services (title 19 and title 21), United HealthCare, and Cigna. Private paid clients are also accepted.
